MEEELJ Director's Updates

All the Things that are going on….June 2010

Posted in News and Information by admin on the June 3rd, 2010

Well, we are actually in our 7th year of business. Yipee! And believe me, it has not been easy at all trying to forge forward with all the new things we are attempting to do, and maintain that which we have been doing from the inception.

So what’s new? Well, for the first time we are accepting outside requests to begin promoting our concept in various arenas around the U.S.  Which means that we are increasing our presence to those that are requesting a “look-in” to the FOR REAL program and other programming as well.

  • We are expanding our Community Service efforts to include participation in more things associated with the nature of the business.
  • We are facilitating a conference workshop in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in October. (Please check out the website for more information)
  • This year we DID not do the golf tournament as we have the last two years, due to some sponsors and other issues. This is significant because it has been a major fundraiser for us.
  • We are being considered for 2 major grant opportunities, so keep you minds on MEEELJ, Incorporated!

There is a lot that has been that still is:

  1. We still have a $30 intake fee. (Yes! Finally gone up $5)
  2. We still work with attempting to aide families who have children to tie them into some services/assistance that they made need that aren’t presently being utilized due to their not being aware of help.
